On the long weekend my family went kayak camping on government land, or "the open land of the people" as my Dad says. The trip consisted of eating too much steak and jiffy pop, making fishing rods, getting in fights, kayaking in treacherous man eating waves and very sun burnt noses. Sadly we only have a picture of us leaving to go camping in which we look extremely happy, very contrary to when we got back to the beach two day later. On the trip back my brother broke his paddle in half smacked each half on the water and swore never to kayak ever again. Although I don't know how calming the trip was in reality, the pictures give that impression, and turned out beautifully. Enjoie.
